Happy Easter!

The Lord is Risen, Alleluia! May the peace of our Risen Lord be with you during this Easter Season! The Triduum celebrations here at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel were wondefully and solemnly done. Fr. Robert Juroszek celebrated the Holy Thursday Mass and spoke about how the Eucharistic celebration first instituted by Christ is now one that is offered not only by the presiding priest but by the whole gathered assembly. He urged people to bring their lives to the Altar of the Lord in order to make the paschal mystery more fully part of their own story. Fr. Frank Scornaienchi celebrated the Good Friday service of the Lord's Passion and noted that to follow in the footsteps of the Lord who "surrendered himself to death, even death on a cross" implies that we accept and be reconciled to our own mortality by dying to self and living lives of service to others. In anticipation of the Easter Vigil, he concluded his homily by noting that what comes after we breath our last is sure to "blow our minds." The choir of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel did a fabulous job with the music at both services and, all in all, everyone seemed very pleased and uplifted. Enjoy the attached photos of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and have a blessed Easter!
